Registration
Registration begins Saturday morning at 7:00 a.m. Early packet pick-up to be available in June 2020 at the Civic Centre. Pick up your packet at the registration table. The packet will include your timing chip, bib and shirt. Also sign your waiver here. After you have received your packet get your body marking done. Your bib is to be worn on your back for the bike and on your front for the run. Ensure that you do not cross a timing mat once you have your timing chip or your time will be messed up.
Give your self one hour minimum prior to your start time to complete registration, body marking and setting up your transition spot.
First Aid Volunteers will also be on site to provide assistance where necessary. If injured or need help find a volunteer or head to race headquarters/first aid room.
You are responsible to ensure that your bike is in proper working order prior to the race. ANSI, SNELL or CSA approved helmets are mandatory. You will not be permitted to ride without a helmet. There will be assistance on the bike route for anyone that may require it if their bike fails.
Timing
This is a chipped timed race provided by Racepro.ca. You will receive your chip when you register. Carefully follow the instructions to attach your chip and then ensure that you cross the mat at each transition area and the end of the race. Do not cross a mat before the start of the race when you are setting up your transitions.

Swim
Strathmore Aquatic Centre houses a 25m indoor pool with a hot tub. Change rooms and bathrooms are at the Pool. Swimming starts at 7:30 a.m.. Check in with a swim volunteer 15 mins before your assigned heat time and you will be assigned a lane as they become available. It is a continuous feed into the pool. You will also be sharing a lane with1- 2 other racers. No running on pool deck please! Injuries here prevent a finish.
You may update your swimming time closer to race day. Email racedirector@tri-smore.com with the subject line: new swim time. We can adjust swim times until June 1. One change per person and only if you are many minutes faster/slower.
Whatever you take to the pool (towel, glasses, shoes, etc.) needs to leave the pool with you. It is your decision whether or not you change there or head straight to transition.
Transition
There is ABSOLUTELY no biking in the transition area. Do not mount your bike until you have left transition. You must have your helmet on and DONE UP before you leave the transition area. Competitors only in transition. One parent will be allowed to help younger children set up their transition spot and help with transition if necessary, but only ONE please.
SLOW DOWN and dismount your bike before you re-enter transition before the run. Please remove your bikes/clothes from the transition area within 2.5 hrs of your start time. The next competitors will appreciate a spot to park. There are many bare feet that pass through here so please no glass items (we do allow sun/eyeglasses).
Bike

Let’s have fun but lets keep it safe, you need to hear oncoming traffic as the route is not closed. Please use the shoulder of the road on your bike course. You will lose against a vehicle. If you need to work on your bike during the race please go off the road and shoulder and work in the grassy edge. There will be a patrol travelling the route to help where needed if necessary. Turnarounds will be clearly marked and there will also be volunteers there. Wear your race number on your back while biking. Returning to transition requires passing through a busy intersection, please be careful and listen to race officials. Dismount in dismount area before entering the transition spot.
Run
The route will not be completely closed to traffic, but will be monitored by race officials. It is your responsibility to turn around at the correct turnaround.
